The things people ask
The questions I get asked most, answered straight. If yours is not here, message me and I will answer that too.
How long does it take?
One to two working days, once I have what I need from you. The clock starts when your photos, text and logo land, not when you first message me, because waiting on those is the only thing that ever slows a build down. If you have nothing ready, I’ll write it and tell you exactly what to photograph.
Do I have to write it all myself?
No. Tell me about the business on a call or on WhatsApp and I’ll write it and send it over for you to read. If you’d rather write it yourself, grand, I’ll fit it in.
I’ve no photos. Is that a problem?
Not a big one. Phone photos of your actual work beat stock images nearly every time, and I’ll tell you what to shoot and how. If the job needs a proper photographer I’ll say so before we start.
What happens after it’s live?
You get the keys. The domain and hosting are in your name, not mine, so you are never locked in. Changes are free for the first 30 days after it goes live, with no limit on how many. After that a change session is €50, or £45 in the UK, and a session covers a batch of changes rather than one tweak. If you want me looking after it regularly I’ll quote that separately, and if you want to walk away, you can.
Will people actually find it on Google?
Every build includes the groundwork: proper page titles, your address and opening hours marked up so Google reads them, and your Google Business profile connected. That gets local searches working. I won’t promise you the top spot for a competitive search term, because nobody honestly can.
I’m not in Ireland or the UK. Can you still do it?
Yes. I work out of Mullingar and take jobs across Ireland and the UK, and further afield when it suits. It is all done over WhatsApp and email either way.
What do you need from me to get started?
Your logo if you have one, a few photos, your opening hours and service area, and half an hour of your time to talk it through. That’s genuinely it.
What if I already have a website?
Send me the link. Sometimes it’s worth fixing rather than replacing, and I’ll tell you straight which one it is even when replacing it would be the bigger job for me.
Still wondering about something?
Ask me before you commit to anything. I would rather answer ten questions than have you guess.
